Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SRKWebstudio (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use PDF Editor & Scanner Pro (the “App”) on iOS, iPadOS, and Android. We built the App to be private by default: your documents are processed on your device, and we never sell your data.

1. Documents you scan and edit

Your documents stay on your device. Scanning, editing, annotating, signing, form-filling, redaction, merging, and compression all happen locally on your phone or tablet. We do not upload, read, or store the contents of your documents on our servers as part of normal use.

If you choose to back up or export a file to a third-party cloud service (for example iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive), that file is transferred directly between your device and that service under their privacy policy. We do not receive a copy.

2. Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

OCR text recognition runs on-device. The text extracted from your documents is stored locally alongside the document so it remains searchable, and is not transmitted to us.

3. Information we do collect

• Purchase and subscription data. When you buy Pro, the transaction is handled by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We receive a subscription status (active/expired) to unlock features, but not your full payment details.
• Diagnostics and usage analytics. With your consent where required, we collect anonymized, aggregated data about crashes and which features are used, to improve the App. This data does not include your document contents.
• Support communications. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to share so we can help you.

4. How we use information

• To operate, maintain, and improve the App.
• To provide and manage Pro subscriptions.
• To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
• To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your document contents for advertising.

5. Device permissions

• Camera — to scan documents. Used only when you open the scanner.
• Photos / Files — to import images and PDFs you select. We access only the items you choose.
• Face ID / Touch ID / biometrics — to unlock App Lock. Biometric data never leaves your device and is managed entirely by your operating system.

6. Data security

Documents are stored in your app’s private storage. You can enable App Lock (Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode) to require authentication before the App opens. Any data transmitted to a service you connect is protected in transit using industry-standard encryption (TLS).

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because your documents live on your device, you can delete them at any time within the App or by uninstalling it. For requests about data we hold, contact us at [email protected].

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
